Didn't know where else to post this, but I guess this board is as good as any other.

I read under the VBScript board that you can have MUSHclient communicate with other programs via COM. Is there a way to do this with other languages, like C++ or Java for those of us who are not partial to VB?

COM is a generic method of object files communicating with each other. It is not restricted to VB.

If you search this forum for "createobject" you should find some examples. Also look for GetWorld in the documentation:

http://www.gammon.com.au/scripts/doc.php?function=GetWorld

That shows examples of calling MUSHclient worlds from other languages.

Hadn't heard of COM aside from in reference to VB programs. Off to Google to find out exactly how to play with all this. Thank you very much.
